Was it really a year ago??

Filed under: Uncategorized — gmucheeky @ 5:21 pm

It’s hard to believe one year ago yesterday I was walking down the aisle. We celebrated our anniversary by going to the Melting Pot… My #1 most favorite restaurant EVER!

We never do gifts but we both surprised each other with gifts this time. I got Michael a share in Disney stock. Seeing as the first anniversary is traditionally paper, I couldn’t justify getting him stationary. I figured Disney would mark the fact we are having a baby this year too. The plaque hasn’t come yet, I will post pictures when it gets here.

Michael got be this gorgeous paraffin lamp that says Michael and Sarah in the rings and then down on the green fuel it says First Anniversary June 24, 2007.

This is the balloon, teddy bear, and dark chocolate that Michael got me at the restaurant.

Here we are after dinner. It was soooo yummy. It took us 2 hours to finish and for the first time I wasn’t stuffed afterwards. Mason loved it too!

4D Photo shoot number 2

Filed under: Uncategorized — gmucheeky @ 3:08 pm

We went for our last 4D ultrasound yesterday. Mason has gained a lot more weight, I think mostly in his cheeks. He has the chubbiest cheeks and the skinniest little body. Here are a few of the pictures we got. He had his face in the placenta again so we couldn’t get super clear ones. He’s camera shy already…. that’s going to have to change. :)

Hospital Tour

Filed under: Uncategorized — gmucheeky @ 6:07 pm

So today we took a tour of the hospital. It was interesting to see where I would be and all the behind the scene stuff. It sure makes things feel so real and soon. :)

We have talked about it for awhile now and we made the decision not to nurse. Well, the tour ended with a talk with a lactation specialist. We didn’t want to come off as the “bad” parents so we stayed with the group for the talk. The key piece of information that we both walked away with was:

A breast a day keeps the doctor away.

And to think we grew up thinking it was an apple a day that did that for us…. hmm…

Enough said…

Stress!

Filed under: Uncategorized — gmucheeky @ 10:07 pm

This week has been CrAZy! I don’t know how I will ever finish these summer classes… Who turned up the heat??? Not only do I need to get through these classes at lighting fast speed but I am also taking the Praxis II this Sat. I am completely not prepared, I am prepared to take it again, mentally… .financially it stinks to have to take it again. I am also taking the VRA in July… There isn’t really anything to study for that one, it’s just a cross your fingers and see how it goes kinda test….

Along with all the school stuff, Peanut has learned how to get away and get into holes I can no longer get him in. He thinks it’s funny… me, not so much. He definitely knows that something is fishy and there is going to be a change around here soon. Boy is he right, a BIG change. He won’t be the baby anymore…

So enough venting from the pregnant lady. Only 11 more weeks to go! We can’t wait!
