Think more of a western movie with a town plaza and stores around it. That’s Santa Fe.
It was really pretty and the weather was perfect.
Rooftop Pizza in Santa Fe.
It was a long day but we are finally here! We won’t have to deal with airplane/airport hassles for a week!
Mason has mastered the stairs now too. Watch out!
We have also learned how to eat Cheerios. He can’t get enough. It’s really cute too because he sits there and chews it with his gums.
My cousin posted this on her blog because her boys love it so much. I had Mason watch it and he’s hooked now too. It’s cute and has a catchy little tune. We love Nickel Creek so it was cool for us to listen to also.
Mason wants to go!
He was a little fussy here because I had him do it over and over
before I got smart and went to get the camera.
I can’t believe he’s going to be 9 months in a couple weeks!
This time last year I was still pregnant! (and very ready to not be)
We decided to something special today and to travel to Andrew’s Air Force Base for the air show. It was free, except the gas to get there and it would be cool to see the Blue Angels flying. We were to drive to Fed Ex Field and take a shuttle to the base. We checked the website before we left to get the latest information and off we went. Michael and I are not fans of Maryland at all. We have always joked that it’s like traveling to another country. As soon as you cross the state line everything looks different, the road, the signs, everything. So this was a big deal for us to travel up there for this event. After many traffic issues we got there an hour and a half later! We were tired and ready to get out of the car. There was a cop blocking the road where we needed to go so I rolled my window down and politely asked him how we get to the shuttles. He told me that the shuttles had stopped running and the base was closed because they reached full capacity, but I could come back tomorrow. At this point I just wanted to cry, Mason was tired of being in the car and screaming at the top of his lungs. So we decided to take a side trip to Glen Echo Park to get a break from the car. We traveled the entire beltway today, that is one BIG circle! All in all it turned out ok but I am bummed we didn’t get to see the Blue Angels and I am NOT going back tomorrow.
