One, Two, Fondue!

Filed under: Michael, Sarah — Tags: — gmucheeky @ 5:21 pm

We were able to go to the Melting Pot for our anniversary. We’ve had this tradition for years. If you have never been it is the most delicious meal ever and you are so full when you leave. Fondue is supposed to be fun and this really is. You don’t have to prep anything and the best part is you don’t have to clean up anything either.

First you start with a cheese fondue, this is my favorite fondue of the evening.
I personally love the fiesta cheese. You dip carrots, chips, breads, cauliflower, celery and granny smith apples.
Next comes the best salad I have ever had. It has some kind of mustard dressing and it is so good. I don’t even like mustard!
Then comes the meat. We’re picky so we get two entrees and the easy broth. This takes the most time because you don’t want to eat raw or undercooked meat…. You also get zucchini, mushrooms, broccoli, and potatoes.
Finally the chocolate! MMmm, Cookies and Cream Marshmallow Dream in Milk Chocolate. Dippers are marshmallows, strawberries, brownies, pound cake, rice krispie treats, bananas, and cheesecake.

You’re drooling aren’t you?
Until next year….

New Mexico – Day 6

We went to the zoo, aquarium, and botanical gardens today! It was lots of fun. It started getting very hot so we didn’t spend too much time at the botanical gardens.

Here are a few of the animals we saw.

Mason liked the aquarium the most. He was in awe of the jelly fish. I have to say it was an awesome exhibit.
Noah got a new hat! He’s such a cutie patootie!

It was Daddy’s birthday so we went to Garcia’s. It was a yummy restaurant that had lots for Mason to look at. He is trying to be like Dominic and make a whistle with his straw.

Go Lobos!
Thanks Tamara!

A little bath time fun with our new tiger!

Day 5 brought us to Uncle Mike and Auntie Merl’s house for a delicious cook out.
Cousin Swap

Mason and Noah loved playing in the pool.
After dinner we went for a little walk. Auntie and Tamara had a lot of fun with Noah’s stroller.
There is nothing like a little drink/fun in the sprinklers!

More wildlife! And this time it had horns!!

New Mexico – Day 4

We spent the morning outside. Michael climbed to the top of a volcano!

Here is the mountain that Michael climbed. We didn’t notice that the little wooden sign had an arrow telling us to turn so he went right on up!

We saw this snake and lizard. There were a lot of lizards!

You can’t come to New Mexico without eating at Lotaburger. This was our second time and Mason loves their french fries!
Mason had lots of fun playing with Issac’s Hummer.
Mason after a long day of playing.
He’s so tired he can’t put his legs down.

New Mexico – Day 3

Day three we went to Santa Fe. I was expecting a big city with a lot to do. I was wrong.
Think more of a western movie with a town plaza and stores around it. That’s Santa Fe.
It was really pretty and the weather was perfect.
Mason on Burro Alley.
This is the BEST pizza I have ever had! It was so good we ate the whole thing!
Rooftop Pizza in Santa Fe.

I have been dying to see some wild animals and I have been hoping to see something with horns or antlers.. This is the best I’ve seen so far.

New Mexico – Day 2

Day two took us West to Grants. I was out to see El Malpais National Park.

I forgot to tell you, we got a rental car.
This is our Dodge Magnum, it has SO much room. I love it!

Michael swears he hasn’t seen this sign until now when I am posting this.

This is us at Sandstone Bluffs.

Here is the natural arch.
Mason is a fish. Here are some cute photos and a video. He has figured out that if he kicks his legs he’ll move. It is so cute.

All that sun made us sleepy.

New Mexico – Day 1

Mason’s first flight went pretty well. We were given prescription medicine to keep him calm on the plane. It’s a sedative that has no effect on this little boy. He napped for 20 minutes on the first flight and about 10 minutes on the second flight. The whole day he got maybe 1 hour of sleep and he finally went to bed at 930, that is 1130 our time!!! He also slept through the night!!He listened to a little music…. this distracted him for about 10 minutes.
GET ME OFF THIS THING!

We had an empty seat on the second flight so he got to play with his own seat belt. Distraction time: 5 minutes….

It was a long day but we are finally here! We won’t have to deal with airplane/airport hassles for a week!
