A year can change so much

This was the first time Mason wrote his first name. We didn’t even know he knew how.

Here it is a year later.

He has surprised us with so many things. He knows the days of the week, the months, how to spell and write his last name, and can read small words.

Sick. Again.

Mason is sick again. Not eating. Barely drinking. High fever. I just said, “Why does this fever keep coming back?!” Mason’s answer was, “I think it likes me!”

Build A Bear

Mason went on a field trip today to Build A Bear. He was able to pick out a bear and and outfit. He chose this “Cinderella” outfit. He is head over heels and just loves it! He just keeps saying, “She looks so good in this outfit!” He is spinning her around and watching her dress swirl. One of the little girls in his class picked a basketball jersey for her bear. So there were other options. His teacher said she asked him over and over if he was sure. He told her he was getting it for his mom and that his mom would like the Cinderella costume. What a sweetie!!! Though I do think he loves it more.

We went to the Outer Banks for New Years with my family and some of Ryan’s friends. We had a great time and the weather was amazing! We had 60 degree days!! Mason had so much fun in the sand everyday. We climbed Jockey’s Ridge, went to the aquarium, bowled, made sand castles, flew kites, and shopped a little.

Mason and Rocky slept together every night and nap time.

Mason loves monster trucks. So when he saw that The Grave Digger was so close he went hog wild.
